About this Figure
Cooperation between Aniplex and Wing that already worked on other figures of this character like her bride and wedding versions that were both sculpted by “Fortunation“, the artist credited for this kimono version as well.
I had high hopes for this figure since the announcement and I’m not disappointed even though Aniplex has proven to be able to make more complex and detailed kimonos like the recent Asuna / Undine Version (here) and Mash in her Grand New Year version (here).
Some details like the bunny pattern on her dress and the little hair clip are definitely appreciated and I really like her pose as well. Overall it’s a really good figure and an excellent addition to any Aobuta collection.

The official twitter account of Aniplex posted new pictures of the upcoming figure of Mai Sakurajima in her Kimono version with a picture of the official illustration. Preorders are officially opened on the Aniplex + (JP) website from the 2nd of January to the 22nd of March. The release date is set for December 2020.
Aniplex announced on its official twitter account that a new 1/7 figure of Mai Sakurajima from “Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai” will be presented to celebrate the new year. The official illustration used to create this figure will be shown on the 1st of January while this figure will be available for preorder from the 2nd of January 2020.
The figure will be presented as a part of a new event to celebrate the new year that will be held at Akihabara Radio Kaikan called “New year Campaign 2020“.
